Kept Woman Devotional: Day 7 — “Devoted”

Theme:

Being Fully Devoted to God in the Secret Place

Scripture Focus:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

— Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV)

Devotional Word:

There is a difference between discipline and devotion.

Discipline will get you up to pray.

But devotion will keep you in the presence long after the world starts moving.

Discipline will fast from food.

But devotion will feast on every word that comes from God’s mouth.

As a kept woman, you are not merely surviving on obligation—you are being sustained by love. The fast you’re in is not to earn favor, but to deepen intimacy.

God isn’t asking you to perform.

He’s asking you to be devoted.

Devoted in stillness.

Devoted in waiting.

Devoted when it’s quiet.

Devoted when nothing makes sense.

Because true devotion says:

“Even if You don’t speak today, I’ll still stay at Your feet.”

Even when your heart aches for answers, even when the past presses hard, your devotion is the oil you pour out. It is your offering. It is your flame.

And He sees it.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Am I showing up for God only out of duty—or am I lingering out of love?

  2. What is one area of my life I need to surrender in devotion today?

  3. What does being a kept woman look like when no one else is watching?

Prayer:

Father, make me a woman who is not just disciplined, but deeply devoted.

Let my heart burn for You above all else.

In this fast, I don’t want to just deny my flesh—I want to draw near to You.

Take me deeper than routine.

Let my devotion be my worship.

And even when I feel empty, remind me that You fill the devoted heart with Your presence.

Keep me in Your keeping.

Let me be fully Yours.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
